Who we are

Creyeti (“we”, “us”, “our”) is an independent creative production studio based in Sydney, Australia. This policy explains how we handle personal information collected through www.creyeti.com.au, by email, and in the course of client work.

We handle personal information in line with the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) and the Australian Privacy Principles.

What we collect

When you use our contact form

Your company name, your name, the type of work you’re interested in, your email address, and your message.

When you email or work with us

Whatever you choose to send us, along with the contact and billing details we need to run a project — names, email addresses, phone numbers, business details and payment records. Projects can also involve material you supply that features people, such as photographs, footage or voice recordings.

When you browse this site

Like every website, ours receives standard technical information with each request: your IP address, browser type, the page requested and the time. This is needed to deliver pages and keep the site secure.

We do not use analytics, advertising or tracking cookies. See our Cookie Policy for the detail.

How we collect it

Almost always directly from you — through the contact form, by email, on a call or during a project. Occasionally we receive it from someone else, for example a colleague who refers you to us, or a client who supplies material featuring you for a project.

How we use it

  • To reply to your enquiry, and to send you an automatic confirmation that we received it.
  • To prepare proposals and quotes, deliver projects, and invoice for them.
  • To manage our working relationship with you.
  • To operate, maintain and secure this website.
  • To meet our legal obligations, such as keeping tax and financial records.

We don’t sell, rent or trade personal information. We only send marketing emails if you’ve asked for them, and every one will let you unsubscribe.

Who we share it with

We share personal information only where it’s needed to do the things above:

  • EmailJS, which delivers messages sent through our contact form and the confirmation email you receive.
  • Our email provider, which stores our correspondence.
  • Amazon Web Services, which hosts and delivers this website.
  • Google Fonts, which serves some of the typefaces on this site. Your browser requests them from Google, which receives your IP address as part of that request.
  • People we work with on a project, such as crew, contractors or production partners — only what they need, and on the understanding that they keep it confidential.
  • Professional advisers, such as our accountant or lawyer.
  • Authorities, where the law requires it.

Overseas disclosure

Some of the service providers above store or process information outside Australia, including in the United States. Where that happens we take reasonable steps to make sure your information is handled in a way that is consistent with the Australian Privacy Principles.

Our portfolio and published work

We show finished work on this website and on our social channels, with our clients’ agreement. If you appear in something we’ve published and would like it removed, email . We will act on reasonable requests wherever our agreements with clients allow.

How we protect it

We take reasonable steps to protect personal information from misuse, loss and unauthorised access. This site is served only over HTTPS, its storage is private, and access to our systems is limited to the people who need it. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, but we work to keep the risk low.

How long we keep it

Enquiries are kept for as long as we need them to respond and to follow up within a reasonable time. Project and financial records are kept for as long as the law requires — for tax records in Australia, generally five years. After that, we delete or de-identify the information.

Accessing and correcting your information

You can ask to see the personal information we hold about you, or ask us to correct it, by emailing . We may need to confirm your identity first. We will respond within a reasonable time, usually within 30 days, and there is no charge for making a request.

Complaints

If you’re concerned about how we’ve handled your personal information, please email and tell us what happened. We will look into it and respond within 30 days.

If you’re not satisfied with our response, you can contact the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner at oaic.gov.au or on 1300 363 992.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. The current version will always be on this page, with the date it was last changed at the top.
